Casein has the ability to provide your bloodstream with a slow and steady flow of amino acids that could last for hours. It is a slow digesting protein that feeds your muscle throughout the night while you’re sleeping! How awesome is that!? Whey protein hits your muscles at a fast rate to help repair and give your muscles the essential amino acids needed right after a workout. Casein takes a little longer for your body to metabolize, but at night…that’s exactly what you want!

It is incredibly easy to make and super delicious!
I usually use the ABS Protein Pancake Mix in Chocolate Chip and just add a few more sugar free chocolate chips to it because the pancake mix is thicker and comes out like cookie dough…plus it is gluten free and all natural! However, you can also use just a clean and natural flavored Casein. Here is the recipe I used to make this:
- 1 Scoop ABS Protein Pancakes in Chocolate Chip (has real chocolate chips)
- 2/3 Cups Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1 Tbsp SteviaÂ
- 1 Tbsp. Crunchy Almond Butter
Because this recipe is low carb (under 8g net carbs), I like to substitute it with high fat which is where the crunchy almond butter comes in plus it gives it a delicious flavor!Â
All you have to do is mix all of the ingredients together to get a "dough" like consistency then place in Freezer for about 15-20 minutes and stir the dough every 5 minutes or so to let it thicken and harden like dough/ice cream and it comes out just like cookie dough and tastes amazing!
Here is the nutrition is based off the Chocolate Chip ABS Protein Pancakes Mix:
(does not include nutrition from almond butter)
- 25g Protein
- 8g Net Carbs
- 180 Calories
- Gluten Free
- All Natural
So good it almost feels like a cheat and it is simple enough you can enjoy it every night! Get your FREE ABS Protein Pancakes recipe book here and check out the Chocolate Chip ABS Protein Pancakes mix I used for this recipe here.Â
